Dirty Edge, the game development division of INTERSOG, has hired veteran Crytek game producer Luke Stafford to lead the development of their new Unity 3D game, Hellemental. The game is developed using Unity 3D platform. Hellemental, which was released to AppStore on Feb 3rd, takes mobile 3D gaming to the next dimension, combining equal parts strategy and action in a visually stunning environment. As the license fees of this kind platforms are a huge barrier to smaller developers, this is why Dirty Edge didn’t even consider other popular game engines like CryEngine, Unreal, Gamebyro or BigWorld. Unity, which was runner-up for best OS graphics in the Apple design awards, gives developers all the tools they need to produce high-quality 3D games for mobile devices like the iPhone. For developers looking for a cost-effective gaming engine, Unity can deliver absolutely stunning results, as is evident with the launch of Hellemental. (PRWeb Feb 6, 2010)
